Don't think twice before booting up the trailer for "A Complete Unknown" and seeing Timothée Chalamet transform into Bob Dylan.
Searchlight Pictures on Wednesday dropped a look at the highly anticipated musical biopic from director James Mangold, which sees Chalamet, 28, portray the legendary "The Times They Are A-Changin'" singer.
The footage begins with singer Pete Seeger, played by Edward Norton, talking up Dylan as he recalls the first time they met.
"He dropped in on us out of nowhere and he played us a song," Norton's Seeger says. "In that moment, we got a feeling we were getting a glimpse of the future."
Chalamet's Dylan is then seen on stage singing "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall." The 1963 song, performed by Chalamet himself, accompanies the rest of the footage. Elle Fanning is also shown playing a character based on Suze Rotolo, who dated Dylan in the 1960s and was on the cover of his album "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan."

Set in New York in the early 1960s, "A Complete Unknown" follows Dylan's "meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965," according to the synopsis.

The film also stars Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash. It's the latest musical biopic from Mangold, who directed the 2005 Johnny Cash movie "Walk the Line" starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role. Mangold most recently helmed last year's "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny."

Based on the 2015 book "Dylan Goes Electric!," "A Complete Unknown" could put Chalamet in contention for another Oscar nod, and possibly his first win, after he was previously nominated for "Call Me by Your Name."
In a recent interview with Glamour, Fanning teased that the "Dune" actor "worked so hard for this part."
"He's singing everything live, like he's really like going for it," she said. "It was very special to watch him do that. And he's been a friend for a long time. So yeah, I'm just happy to be a part of it."
"A Complete Unknown" hits theaters in December.
